The final leg of an incredible holiday of contrasts, high and lows was spent in Cyprus; a place of rest and restitution for the mind, body and soul.
One of the many highlights of our time spent on that interesting Island was baking bread with Nitsa and Thanasi.
Therefore, today’s blog is visual; and I am sure you will forgive the quality of the videos, however, as rudimentary as our filming skills are, you will get the feeling of being present and part of the process, and a sense of being part of a larger community – we all belong to the earth and to each other.
I have to add that our morning started at 07:30 and I hope that this gives you a taste of village life, the authenticity of a state of being and belonging.
“Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself
He threshes you to make you naked.
He sifts you to free you from your husks.
He grinds you to whiteness.
He kneads you until you are pliant;
And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God’s sacred feast
All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets of your heart, and in that knowledge become a fragment of Life’s heart.”
