How often have we come up with a really exciting idea, only to try and convince ourselves out of actually doing it? If you are an over-thinker, you probably end up talking yourself out of doing things. Am I right?
Perhaps it is because we no longer think it is a good idea even though it brought us so much excitement? Perhaps we pick away at our ideas and only focus on what could go wrong instead of focusing on how much joy it could bring us or those around us?

Although it is really important to think about the pros and cons, overthinking is still the number one killer when it comes to dreams and new ideas. Stop living in your head and take that really big bold step and start your idea!
Why do we talk ourselves out of things? How can it sabotage our successes and achievements?
I think one of the biggest reasons as to why we talk ourselves out of things is because we believe we are not capable enough. We often believe that we do not have the confidence to succeed. When we start over-analysing our abilities, we pick apart the things that are often seen as our weaknesses.
Maybe we worry too much about what people think of us? People are going to think what they think of us regardless.
When we talk ourselves out of things, we eventually start to believe that we are in fact not good enough to start new things.
We end up holding ourselves back from doing things that can truly make a difference. This difference does not have to take place only in our lives but it can take place in the lives of others. We could change the world with our ideas and dreams. Think about how we could affect others positively just by taking a bold step and sticking to our ideas. We end up regretting the things that we never did and we start to beat ourselves up for not just taking that step.
Do not wait until you are ready
Are we really ever ready? When is the ‘perfect’ time?
Break things down into smaller steps and push aside any negative thoughts! You can do this!
Accountability
I honestly do not know where I would be without those that hold me accountable. Do not just let anyone hold you accountable. Make sure it is someone that is close to you. Someone that ONLY wants the best for you!
Tell someone your idea or dream! Say it out loud! Speak it into existence!
Find a friend who will show support and who will be open-minded. The last thing you need is someone doubting your abilities! Just sharing your idea will give you that extra push to get you started. Trust me, this works.
Mindset
Ah! Another healthy mindset reminder! You need to train your brain to think positively.
A strong and healthy mindset gives us the confidence that we need in order to push through ideas and dreams. Cultivate healthy thoughts and focus on the positive!

I really hope this can encourage you to get out of your own head and believe in your dreams. Believe in yourself, my friend. Only you can make the change.
